Financial system

Ecuador's 399 financial institutions, one by one

Every institution reporting to the Superintendencia de Bancos and the SEPS, grouped the way their supervisor groups them and ordered by assets. Each name leads to its profile: balance sheet, structure, loans by segment, official indicators and, for the banks, two decades of historical series. The analysis of the whole lives in the financial system page; the podiums for profitability, delinquency and growth, in the financial rankings.

How to read this directory

The figure next to each name is its total assets (account 1 of the balance sheet) at the group's cutoff. Segments 4 and 5 report quarterly and their cutoff is stated in the group header; the rest report monthly. Second-tier entities do not serve the public: they finance the cooperatives themselves.
